o-CYMEN-5-OL Safe Efficient And Stable Bactericidal Preservative

Overview：DropPrev^® MPB is an isomer of Thymol, which has been widely used in household medicines since ancient times. It possesses high stability, extremely low odor, extremely low taste, and excellent safety. Furthermore, it is halogen-free, making it a highly acceptable bactericidal preservative in oral and skin care products. Thymol is found in many plants, with the most well-known sources being several species of the Thymus genus. The essential oils of these plants can contain up to 60% thymol. While thymol possesses many beneficial properties, such as antibacterial activity, the antibacterial activity of DropPrev^® MPB is significantly stronger than that of thymol.

Application: Cosmetic preservatives, bactericides, oral applications

Dosage: 0.01-0.1%.
 

Solubility: It is insoluble in water and soluble in oil phase. When making the formula, it can be added to the oil phase and heated to 85 ℃ to participate in homogenization.DropPrev® MPB has relatively low solubility in water. It is recommended to dissolve it completely in a sufficient amount of solvent before adding it to the system (addition at room temperature is suggested). When used in emulsified systems, it is not recommended to add it directly to the oil phase. Instead, it should be pre-mixed and dissolved using a suitable solvent (e.g., propylene glycol, butylene glycol).

Storage: Keep sealed at room temperature, away from wet and light.
