DropPrev® PE95 is a liquid preservative for cosmetics which is composed of phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerol. The ethylhexylglycerol affects the surface tension of microbial cell membrane, thus improving the preservative ability of phenoxyethanol. DropPrev® PE95 is very stable and does not hydrolyze easily. Good tolerance to temperature and pH. It has good solubility and is well dispersed in various systems even at low temperatures.
Properties
Kills a broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi and yeasts.
Low irritation, non-toxic at recommended dosage.
Can be used in pH 4-10, completely dissolves in water at low concentration.
